CitizenDish

Terms of Service

Last updated October 20, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“CitizenDish”, “we”) for using CitizenDish. By creating an account or using a site we host, you agree to them.

What CitizenDish is

CitizenDish builds and hosts websites for restaurants and bars, and helps them keep their menus, hours and events up to date, collect event requests and email sign-ups, and market themselves.

Your account

  • You sign in with your own mobile number. Keep access to it secure; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
  • You must be at least 18 and allowed to act for the restaurant you set up.
  • An owner can add other people to help manage a restaurant, and remove them.

Your content

  • You keep ownership of your restaurant’s content: text, menus, photos and logo. You give us permission to host, copy, adapt and display it to run your site and our service.
  • When we bring content in from your existing website or Google listing, you confirm you’re allowed to use it. Only keep photos you own or have a license for. We flag ones that look like stock photos, but the decision is yours.
  • Make sure your prices, hours and other details are accurate. Your guests rely on them.

AI features

Some features use AI: reading your existing website to set up your new one, and making changes you ask our site assistant for. AI can make mistakes, so review what it produces. We show you what was imported, and every change can be undone.

Plans and payment

  • Building and previewing your site is free. Publishing it, so the public can see it on your web address, needs our paid plan.
  • The plan is $29 a month for each location. It includes your published website, menu, hours, events, inbox and site assistant, and adds help connecting and posting to your social accounts, email newsletters, printable flyers, menus and table tents, and managed Google advertising, as each becomes available.
  • If your plan ends, your site stops being shown on your web address. Your content stays saved, and it comes back if you subscribe again.
  • Some costs are separate and are always shown to you before you agree to them: the advertising budget you choose, and buying and renewing a web address (domain).
  • A domain you buy through CitizenDish is registered in your name, so it’s yours to keep, including if you leave.
  • Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Text messages

CitizenDish texts one-time sign-in codes to the mobile number you enter, and, if your restaurant turns them on, alerts to the staff mobile numbers you add (for example, when someone sends an event request). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help, or contact [privacy contact email]. Carriers aren’t responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Only add a mobile number for someone who has agreed to get these alerts.

Acceptable use

Don’t use CitizenDish to:

  • post content you don’t have the rights to, or that’s false, misleading, unlawful or harmful;
  • send messages or email to people who haven’t agreed to receive them;
  • break, overload or probe the service, or get around its limits; or
  • impersonate a restaurant you don’t represent.

Ending your account

You can stop using CitizenDish at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If your account closes, you can ask for a copy of your content first.

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep CitizenDish running, but it’s provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll update the date above and tell account holders.
